Tim Fite
Tim Fite lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Called a “cultural gadfly” by the New York Times and “ferally original” by the New Yorker - Fite creates work that is both humorous and harrowing. Making music and visual art for his entire life, Fite was influenced at a very young age by the artwork of Romare Bearden, Paul Klee, and Jean Dubuffet and the music of Public Enemy, Beck, and Bad Brains.
In 2017 - after years releasing recordings and touring full time - Fite began to focus his attention more on making visual art - creating large scale murals in New York City and Berlin. One of the highlights of his shift to visual art has been a series of residencies and exhibitions at Atelier Tom Blaess in Bern, Switzerland. Bern has become a second home to Fite who describes the city as, “the best place to swim to work in the entire world.” Fite's most recent musical release Roar Shack, is available on all platforms - see more of his work on timfite.com or on instagram/timfite
